The Share and Repair Network would like to announce that Emma Erwin has decided not to return to her role as our Share and Repair Coordinator after her maternity leave. We are also pleased to share that our maternity cover Jane Dixon will continue on in her position to become our permanent Share and Repair Coordinator.

On behalf of our sharing and repairing members, we would like to thank Emma for her amazing work during her time with us to help set up and establish Scotland’s Share and Repair Network. Emma has a genuine passion and engagement with the sector, and worked outside of the box to create value and meaning for our members as they navigated all the challenges that come with running these innovative reuse projects.

Emma is moving with her husband and two children to Pamplona in Spain, where she has already volunteered at her new local library of things ‘Trastoteka’.

“It’s been such a joy to get to know so many of you members and to have the best job ever trying to support and represent you. I wish each of your groups the greatest success and hope that the powers that be come to support share and repair as much as it deserves. I know Jane is doing a fantastic job and that the network is in the best hands. I’m going to stick around in Slack so I can see what’s happening since I’m nosey that way, so please feel free to get in touch. You can also find me on LinkedIn. Keep changing the world one loan or repair at a time!” – Emma Erwin

Meanwhile Jane is looking forward to continuing her work with the Share and Repair Network, for the rest of 2024 and beyond.

“Although we will really miss Emma and her amazing knowledge and enthusiasm about all thing share and repair, I am delighted to be able to stay on in what was meant to be a temporary role, to continue to support our amazing members. We have great ambitions for the network and it’s an honour to be able to carry that work forward.” –Jane Dixon, Share and Repair Network Coordinator.
