We are excited to announce the launch of our latest video, “What is a Repair Cafe?”.

Ever wondered what a repair cafe is and how it works?

Our video takes you on a journey to explore the concept of repair cafes, where you can bring your broken items to get fixed for free by volunteers and staff from some incredible charities and social enterprises across the country.

Watch our new video on YouTube here.

Saving Money and the Environment

By attending a repair cafe, you can repair old beloved items instead of replacing them, saving you money, and saving waste from ending up in landfill.

Featuring Edinburgh Tool Library and Repair Cafe Glasgow

Our video showcases two fantastic organisations, Edinburgh Remakery and Repair Cafe Glasgow, who embody the spirit of repair cafes in Scotland. Edinburgh Remakery is an award-winning environmental social enterprise that works to put an end to waste, including through its popular repair cafes. Repair Cafe Glasgow was founded in 2018 on the principles of Repair Café International, and runs regular repair cafes in Glasgow.

Responding to Member Requests

We are proud to highlight that this video was created based on our members request. At Circular Communities Scotland’s Share and Repair Network, we are committed to responding to what our members want and need. As we continue to grow, we will keep providing valuable resources and initiatives that align with our members’ interests.
