The Share and Repair Network is delighted to launch our second member focused video, ‘Meet Edinburgh Tool Library’.
The video captures what goes on at our member and Share and Repair Network partner, Edinburgh Tool Library. Featuring the Edinburgh Tool Library Founder Chris Hellawell, this video gives insight into the Edinburgh Tool Library’s work as it’s volunteers and employees host share and repair projects across the country which tackle overconsumption and waste, mitigate climate change, and help communities thrive.
From its humble beginnings using a spare bedroom and a police box, Edinburgh Tool Library now has 3 locations across Edinburgh and is supporting multiple groups in its community. We love how the video shows the amazing team of volunteers and staff making that a possibility.
The first tool library in UK, Edinburgh Tool Library has done so much to help new sharing libraries start across Scotland, most recently as partners of the Share and Repair Network project. It is inspirational to hear Chris’s vision of Scotland becoming the kind of country that shares instead of consumes.

Our Share and Repair Network members are all over the country, helping their local communities reduce consumption by offering sustainable and affordable alternatives to buying new. We are very proud to support and represent their work and look forward to releasing more materials elevating our membership’s work in future.
